Adventures of Violet & Lainey — last updated 11 August 2026

Short version: This app collects nothing. It has no ads, no analytics, no accounts, and no internet connection of any kind. The few things it remembers are stored only on your own device and are never sent anywhere.

Who this policy is from

Adventures of Violet & Lainey is made by Mindy Jenkins, an independent developer. This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the iPhone and iPad app and nothing else.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store any personal information about you or your child on any server. We have no way to identify you, and no information ever reaches us or anyone else.

What the app saves on your device

So the story feels personal and can be picked up where it was left off, the app saves three small pieces of information in your device's local app storage:

These never leave the device. They are not backed up to us, not shared with anyone, and not used for advertising or profiling. The name is displayed on screen only — it is never spoken aloud, and it is not used anywhere else in the app.

No internet connection

All artwork, audio, and video is bundled inside the app itself. The app makes no network requests whatsoever — it works entirely offline and will function with the device in airplane mode. There are no third-party services, software development kits, trackers, or embedded content of any kind.

No advertising or analytics

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, and no behavioural profiling. Nothing about how your child plays is measured or reported.

Children's privacy

This app is designed for young children and is offered in Apple's Kids Category. Because the app collects no personal information at all and never transmits data, it does not gather information from children within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or similar laws. There are no in-app purchases, no external links, no social features, no chat, and no way for a child to contact anyone through the app.

Deleting the information

Because everything is stored on the device only, deleting the app removes all of it immediately and permanently. There is nothing stored elsewhere for us to delete, and no account to close.

Purchases

The app is a one-time paid purchase from the App Store. Any payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or receive your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
